The passion for aromas

Tale of a shared adventure :

Having acquired an extensive experience in the perfume industry, I later, with my husband, worked in a partnership with an essential oil organic distillery.

Being both gourmets, obviously we’ve tried the essential oils with all our recipes. Our results convinced us of their interest and of their numerous culinary applications but also of their great difficulty to use:

First of all, find the good oils, because totally different flavors and fragrances can be found under the same description, but they sometimes have nothing to do with the plant we usually know; then, resolve the dosing issues, as they vary from oil to oil and drop counter measurements are not practical and produce random results. Therefore the idea, to personally taste hundreds of oils, to prepare mixes and to package them as spray bottles for easier use.

Several friends, delighted by the quality of the results and by the spray bottle ease of use, convinced us to market this product that has been empirically developed to that day.

Knowing perfectly the preservation problems, we have searched for a system allowing spraying our mix very precisely while avoiding oxidation, evaporation and possible contaminations.

Thus this how we met the manufacturer of a brand new product that was meeting this need: a recyclable airless aluminum bottle.

The BRUM’ concept was born

From that point on, a whole support structure developed in the Auvergne region: laboratories, the Regional Assembly (Conseil Régional), Oséo, the Entrepreneur Network (Réseau Entreprendre), and others too numerous to credit here, helped us refine the product that we are presenting today.

Because of them, in the heart of the generous and pristine Auvergne region, we were able to set up our laboratory and our own manufacturing line in the small clunisian village of Bournoncle-St-Pierre, nearby the Livradois-Forez natural park, first natural plant reserve in France, and the St-Géron and Clémensat mineral spring waters.
